Stack a tower to the heavens and declare war on God. Mine the earth, marshal your workers, and build higher with every hard-won block.
MOVE drags around safely. Pinch to zoom.
WASD / ARROWS pan the map. Hold SHIFT for temporary Grab; release to restore your tool and stop dragging. 1–3 select tools; 4–6 select items. Double click or double tap slots 4–6 to change items; focus a slot and press Enter to choose with a keyboard.
Select the pickaxe to equip your last pick. Click it again to choose another.
The up/down arrow buttons jump between your tower and mine.
Grid in Options switches between snapped and free placement. Press Escape or click the clock to pause; Tips and audio sliders are in Options.
Tap exposed blocks to mine. Drag with the pickaxe to look around. Hold still on a block briefly to start auto-mining, then drag to aim. Starting on empty space always pans. Buried blocks must touch open space.
Open the pickaxe toolbar tab to buy or equip a pick: Iron 2×2 costs 5 Bells, Steel 3×3 costs 20, and Titanium 4×4 costs 50. Auto-mining strikes one square on each sixteenth-note tick. Owned picks can be equipped at any time.
Workers prioritize blocks within reach and use ladders to leave deep mines. They keep earlier mining abilities when upgraded: level 1 mines dirt, level 2 adds stone, and level 3 adds deepslate. Dirt hits on beats 1 and 3; stone on 2 and 4; deepslate on the “and” after 2 and 4.
Supported towers earn height records as soon as they stop moving and tilting.
Workers drown after 5 seconds with their head underwater, or burn after a short stay in lava. Watch their air and heat bars.
Their ghosts sway upward with a spooky melody. Tap a ghost with any tool to revive the Worker right there in a burst of pixels, keeping its level and pocketed Bells.
Revived Workers have a brief protective shield. Ghosts wait above the world and save with your game. Bells claimed through the Worker menu stay in your inventory.
Coal, iron, copper, and gold ore pockets are visible inside rock, even before digging. Ore never forms in dirt. Expose a side, then break the rock to collect both resources. Workers can mine deposits when they can mine the base rock.
Craft a Workshop in STRUCTURES for 5 wood, 5 dirt, and 10 stone. Drag it from the house icon in the toolbar onto a fully supported foundation. Click a placed building to open its shop. Workshops craft Forges and Blacksmiths; Forges smelt one ore + one coal into an ingot; Blacksmiths turn one iron ingot into 10 nails.
Craft a reusable bucket in the item picker for 5 iron ingots. An empty bucket collects one block from a connected pool; a filled bucket pours into an empty grid square. Water and lava stay separate.
Finished structures go into STRUCTURES; other products go into your inventory. Choose Nails from inventory and tap an existing block to pin it at the nearest grid-cell center. One nail per square; hammer strikes follow the quarter-note beat. Buildings need fixed blocks across their entire base. Pack buildings away before removing their supports. Production pauses while you are away.
Wood takes two hits to chop. Every trunk block above the cut falls with gravity; you can mine the fallen logs too.
Unsupported leaves disappear in 1–2 seconds. Mine them first to collect leaf blocks.
Select blocks in slots 4–6 to build. Placed leaf blocks stay put. Double tap or double click an item slot to choose from your inventory.
Start among mountains. Pan across large, randomly ordered plains, jungles, and ocean views. Scenery, wildlife, and music change gently; ground and resources follow the same rules everywhere.
Fireflies light the plains at night. Tap any animal to hear it. Use an empty bucket to collect it, then use its filled bucket to release it wherever you choose.
Craft small, medium, or large cages in STRUCTURES. Use an animal bucket on a cage to put it inside. Use an empty bucket to take one out. Open a cage to choose an animal to take.
Dirt floats in water. Stone and deepslate sink.
Water touching lava cools into solid obsidian.
No spoilers—valuable things can hide where you least expect them.
